You might wonder who in tarnation we are! We--Ray and Holly the parents--homeschooled Heather and Raquelle all their itty bitty lives. Heather and Raquelle are now pursuing college studies at home as well. We’re trying to marry them off, but they just won’t go! :o)
Ray, otherwise known as Mr. Whirlwind, runs his management consulting business from the home office. He is also a confederate reenactor, on the board of several pro-family organizations, and takes his responsibilities as spiritual head of the family seriously. He sings in the church choir and helps in the church library, and contributes to The Times Examiner’s homeschooling column. He is also quite doted on, being the only male in the family. Howsomever, he is very good at spoiling all of his womenfolk. :o)
Holly is still a full-time homemaker—otherwise known as Mizzuz Glue. She tries to keep everyone’s schedules coordinated, mentors Heather and Raquelle in their college studies, keeps the household running, and happily vents her creativity in the house and out in yard, to name just a few items. She sings in the church choir, helps in the church library, participates in local historical and community outreach organizations, helps Ray run the family real estate business, and mentors other homeschooling moms. She contributes articles to The Times Examiner when she has time. Her brainstorm is also responsible for this blog…..so now you know who to blame. :o)
Heather works for Ray, teaches harp and piano lessons, writes articles for The Times Examiner (a local paper), researches the family genealogy, sings in the church choir, helps run the church library, pursues college studies part-time, plays and performs the harp as the duo Joyful Harps with her sister, records harp CDs, and is occasionally persuaded by her sister to concoct yummy messes in the kitchen. She is also very strategic in helping run the household.
Raquelle works for Ray, teaches piano and violin lessons, writes articles for The Time Examiner, pursues college studies part-time, sings in the church choir, helps in the church library, plays and performs the harp in a duo with her sister and records harps CDs, and makes delicious experiments in the kitchen. (That’s why we all have to exercise!) She is also a huge help in keeping our household running smoothly.
There! That probably tells you more than you ever wanted to know! But don’t let on. It might damage our self-esteem! :o)
